How do I choose a name for my blog?
Choosing a name for your blog is a very personal decision. However, there are a few things you may want to consider.
- What is your personality?
- What words describe the thrust of your blog? If you will be discussing your children or being a mom you may want something that reflects that.
- What will your banner (top graphic) be? How does your blog name tie into that banner?
- Is this a name you can live with? It is confusing for readers if you change your blog name. In addition, you will need to update any webrings or blogrolls you are on. It is best to choose a name you are comfortable with and know won't change.
Sometimes it is easier to design your banner first and then think of a name that goes with it. Or you could find a quote that particularly inspires you and build your banner and name around that.

How important is it for my blog name and the URL to be the same? i.e. : http://MYTITLE.blogwhatever.com ?
Will it be confusing to readers if they don't match? I was considering starting a second blog and my preferred name wasn't available as a URL.
