Setting up a printer-friendly option on your blog posts is an excellent idea, especially if you like to post a lot of recipes (not that that’s the only use, but it is handy for that and I’m hungry right now). There are several ways to set this up.
1. Make a plain-jane .doc file or pdf and upload to Typepad or Blogger, then provide a link to that page.
2. The other options require CSS and other coding which is a little beyond the scope of "basic" that we’re going for here. However, we won’t leave you hanging. Try these links and their instructions if you want to learn.
- TechRepublic offers CSS instructions.
- ASP.NET Resources also tells you how to get your hands dirty with CSS.
- Microsoft’s version of printer-friendly pages (although I’m not sure this is the one I’d use).
- Eggheadcafe also has some good instructions.
Frankly, I just Googled how do i make a printer friendly page and had many options for instructions. Depending on your comfort level with code, you can either try method one or two above. Good luck!

I don’t even understand when you say “Make a plain-jane .doc file or pdf and upload to Typepad or Blogger, then provide a link to that page.
