If you buy a domain name, you can also have the original address re-routed to the new one. I used to have singforhim94.blogspot.com. (my screen name was singforhim) I changed to www. reallifeblog.net, but if you type the blogspot address, it automatically changes to the new one. This is relatively easy to do in Blogger.
