Chris Brogan is one of those bloggers who just really wants everyone to succeed. He’s not only a successful blogger, he’s uncommonly approachable. Before I went to Blog World, I read several of Chris’ posts about attending conferences. In those posts he seemed to genuinely want people to come and meet him. I thought, "Yeah. I think I can meet him and not feel intimidated."
I attended his panel: My Blog is a Business? Building a Foundation that Can Help You Grow Your Blog Past the Hobby Stage. He appeared to be as genuine and transparent in person as he is on his blog. So I bit the bullet and approached him after the panel. And you know what? He is amazing. He’s friendly, smart, and funny. His sole purpose while talking with you is you.
Wherever Chris is, you’ll find a group of interesting people. Not only does Chris know them all, but he goes out of his way to introduce you to each other and helps you find common ground. His purpose is to add to you. You can bet if I have another chance to connect with Chris, I will. I am better person for meeting him–and the people he introduced me to. I made some really great contacts while talking to him and his friends.
