Okay, so all this talk about Movable Type styles / templates / themes (whatever they’re called) led me to actually go and count the darn things. as of today, I found about 85 of them – not counting color variations.

Not too shabby, actually, considering there were 17 when I wrote the post you referenced, “Six Apart Doesn’t Want Me…” in May of 2008.

Thank you for your comment! I had problems installing MT as well, but I didn’t have access to the links I mentioned in the article. I had done a few searches, but wasn’t able to find anything helpful. It wasn’t until I hooked up with The Princess that I finally had some good tutorials to go through and recommend.

I still don’t like that MT doesn’t have as many templates as WP, but I would think that will change soon.

This is one of the “Smartalyx Guys”. Thanks for the additional information around Movabale Type. As you saw in my original post I was unable to find any realy good resources that talked about Movable Type- specifically the self-hosting option. I was encountering specific errors and failures and the forums didn’t quite work for me. I wasn’t that active in them I admit, but I wanted to test the experence versus MT’s competitors.

However, after reading your post I think I will put it back on my radar for all the reasons mentioned. I will definitely look at the post by Elise Bauer and other links you provided.
